Born William Lindsey Erwin, Bill Erwin played over 250 roles in a career that lasted nearly 70 years. He was a self-taught cartoonist whose work was published in the New Yorker, Playboy and Los Angeles magazine, and was the first to portray the voice of Grandpa Longneck in The Land Before Time
