Marvyn Young is a visual effects producer at Wētā FX. He began his professional journey in London, where he worked as an offline editor at Mill & Mill Film before relocating to New Zealand to pursue opportunities in visual effects. In 2002, he joined the team at Wētā FX, the visual effects and animation company headquartered in Wellington.

At Wētā FX, Young established himself as a significant figure in production, contributing to the visual effects of many high‑profile motion pictures. Early in his tenure, he served as production coordinator on The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers (2002) and continued with credits on projects such as The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King (2003), King Kong (2005), and Avatar (2009). Over the years, he has advanced to the role of visual effects producer, overseeing and managing the complex delivery of visual effects for blockbuster films.

Young's producer credits include work on Avengers: Infinity War (2018), Avengers: Endgame (2019), Black Widow (2021), Eternals (2021), Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 (2023), and Superman (2025).

He has also been nominated for awards, including the Hollywood Professional Association (HPA) Award for Outstanding Visual Effects – Theatrical Feature for Avengers: Infinity War, Black Widow, and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3
