John Weber

John Weber has served as Executive Producer on over 350 hours of some of the most popular and acclaimed television dramas, such as Vikings, The Tudors, Reign, and The Borgias.
John began his film and television career in 1995, working on a wide array of feature films and television productions before joining Dufferin Gate Productions in 1999. John went on to acquire a controlling interest in Dufferin Gate, which he successfully sold in 2007. In 2009, John founded the Canadian production company Take 5 Productions.
John has successfully negotiated the financing and structure of several successful international co-productions with major studio and distribution partners. He established Take five as Canada's leading independent production company. For his producing achievements, he has been awarded an Emmy and six consecutive Canadian Screen Awards (formerly known as Gemini Awards).
John is a Certified Professional Accountant with a degree in Economics from Wilfrid Laurier University. He is actively involved in the Canadian film industry as a board member of FilmOntario.
