- Tom Majski1d agoWow, I wasn't expecting that. I mean I don't know what I was expecting but this ended up going kinda hard. There's plenty of shocking visuals and set pieces here and loads and loads of tension but what got me is the themes of utter betrayal of trust. Kids that have been let down time and time again just being abused and betrayed. Add Piper's sight to the mix and you really have this awful narrative that is as direct as it is metaphore for the total let down and selfishness purpotrated by people. What's really really cool though, is how serious work like that is tied up into a full on horror movie with all the bodies, gore and scares you need. It just works out really well even though its bleak as all shit! Bravo, but i feel rubbish now and I need to go to bed.
- Kristian OdlandJuly 30, 2025I will NEVER floss with a carving knife again! Grapefruit! What a horrific and chilling second outing for Danny and Michael Philippou. Who knew a couple of YouTubers would establish themselves as masters of horror so quickly? I already can't wait to see what they do next.
- Yuvi RandhawaJune 21, 2025Amazing. Simply amazing. The direction, performances, story, every aspect is so well done I walked out of the theatre genuinely in awe
- Tyler SJuly 1, 2025The Philippou brothers have definitively proven themselves as the must see horror directors of this decade. Talk To Me was an amazing debut and Bring Her Back is an incredible follow up. Creepy and bleak as all hell, this was a disturbing and hands down not feel good movie of the year. Cast was amazing but the obvious standout is Sally Hawkins. The bros knew what was up, you get mother fucking Sally Hawkins as a lead in your movie and you let her cook, and cook she did. The range of her performance throughout was mesmerizing, one second she's making you laugh the next your stressed and horrified. It's the same Oscar horror movie ignorance that robbed Toni Collette & Mia Goth that will no doubt rob Hawkings of the nomination her performance deserves. Hopefully the grim and unrelenting dread this movie induces doesn't keep people away, if you are a horror fan you are doing yourself a disservice not seeing this gem on the big screen. Highly Recommended! 👍👍 8.5/10
- landoisniceJuly 2, 2025The scenes genuinely had me going…”WTF?!”
- Andy Davidson | folknhell.comJanuary 15, 2026Bring Her Back doesn’t just scare you — it drags you screaming through grief, blood, and dread, then slams the door behind you.
- CherryflixJanuary 11, 2026The more you think about this movie, the more unsettling it gets. The more you watch, the more that you notice. The more you analyze the videotape she’s watching, you start to realize even darker shit happening in the background. You start to realize the movie is hinting at this underground black-market for fucked up occult items. There’s an irl website pertaining to this, look it up. There are so many layers to this film. An absolute masterpiece of horror. This stuck with me for a good week after watching it. It’s such a fucked up film. Amazing cast, powerful performances. Cringe inducing body horror. Watch this.
- Kyle BianchiJanuary 9, 2026A welcome follow-up effort by the brothers Philippou, this was seriously a great trip. From one beat to the next, it's full of stress and tension that can be felt. The last act was a complete gut punch, but rewarding all the same. I will never look at my kitchen knives the same... Very truly an amazing film by these two. I'm looking forward to many more!
- melheimrSeptember 20, 2025Not the sequel to Paddington I expected, but pretty good nonetheless.
- Brandon J HicksJanuary 9, 2026Anytime I see A24 I know I'm in for a ride.
- Halim MellickJanuary 3, 2026I watched “Talk to me” leading into midnight 2025/26 and started my year with my hole absolutely clenched. Bring her back was next on my list and it wasn’t until I was about to hit play that I noticed that it was the same directors. Having no idea what to expect from these movies, watching them back to back sure was an experience. Talk to me was quite anxiety inducing but Bring her back somehow brought that to another level. I’m a huge fan of horror - especially Stanley Kubrick, Ari Aster and Jordan Peele. As far as Aussie horror really like The Babadook and The Loved Ones. If you are a fan of any of the above mentioned I think both movies are worth checking out and I would recommend talk to me before this one - other’s may disagree. Really loved these movies and I can’t wait to watch them again once I’m in the right mood to be spooked to heck and back. I did have to look away for a scene (table) and its the first time I’ve had to look away from a film as an adult, but that moment didn’t detract from the story, if anything it enhanced it - but if you need to look away you’re not missing the crucial moment - it has already reached the goal of the scene
- TeddyFurlowAugust 5, 2025Oh man, did the Philippou brother's (Talk To Me) deliver once again. Really good movie, I am surprised this movie didnt do well in theaters.
- Jeremiah HansonAugust 23, 2025It wasn’t horrible, but it wasn’t great.
- Doc WormDecember 30, 2025An art house horror film that’s an allegory for grief?! Bring her back almost plays out more of a crime thriller than just a traditional horror flick and to great effect. Sally Hawkins, who I’m used to seeing in such tender roles, gives quite the dense performance. The Philippou’s sophomoric outing proves they’re one of the great new voices in original horror.
