A dramatization of how the NAACP lawyer Thurgood Marshall helped black schoolchildren and their parents in South Carolina to fight for equality and for desegregation of public primary schools, first in the district court, then in front of the Supreme Court of the U.S., culminating in the seminal "Brown vs. Board of Education" decision that overturned the "separate but equal" legal doctrine.
