Season 4

Gert and his speaking dog Samson live together in the 'Dorpstraat 101', where they have lots of funny adventures with their friends. The tubby hairdresser Albert, the clumsy mayor and his hyperactive secretary as well as grocery store owners Octaaf and Jeanine De Bolle each contribute in a great way to the story.

Playing an inverse trick seems easy, but Gert and the mayor fail due to the food-lured glutton's speedy voracity.

When he says good bye, the friends feel guilty for driving him away, but can't persuade him to stay. But after a bad fall in the wood, he sneaks back to Gert's home and accepts Samson's suggestion to hide in the basement.

Alberto meanwhile masquerades as the Dutch mayor.

All they can come up with is hiding the mayor in a trash-can Gert asked to dispose garden waste in.

But disagreements, whether to bake white or multi-grain and light or well-done, drive Alberto and the mayor to leave and set up their own bakeries. Yet nobody turns up to buy their bread.

So he hopes to have the shopkeeper milk it and let it graze instead of mowing.

A spoilsport learns about their plan and dresses up as a ghost.

Both sides cheat so nobody else knows and they can pretend to be various fellow citizens.

Ever helpful Gert suggests an alternative alias, Good-deeds-man, and pretends to be otherwise occupied each time someone seeks his help, so the masked hero can jump in.

In order to sell them, he convinces the mayor and De Bolle they are 'guaranteed' to attract suitors, which he makes seemingly come true by writing anonymous love-letters. Gert considers buying the last for him and Samson in an attempt to out-stage his love rival, but sees trough the scam.

Alberto is kept waiting, has trouble getting out of his sleeping bag and mistakes the dress in her dino-size for a tent, so it seems stolen.

Alas, it breaks down, and Gert may volunteer to repair it, expecting a ride as reward, so he may impress Marlene, but makes little progress. Advise or help offered from an unlikely source are turned down, but as despair mounts ultimately an unknown 'experienced mechanic' is called in.
