The mayor has found a fake dumb-bell and wants to use it to play lame pranks on friends. Alberto falls for it, having deluded himself about his weightlifting performances. The mayor is delighted to hear Alberto registered fro a national strong man competition, but Gert makes him realize his ridicule will extend to the town as such. Playing an inverse trick seems easy, but Gert and the mayor fail due to the food-lured glutton's speedy voracity.
