In Medieval Japan, an elderly warlord retires, handing over his empire to his three sons. However, he vastly underestimates how the new-found power will corrupt them and cause them to turn on each other...and him.
- Patrick D.October 15, 2026This is one of the most beautifully dreary films I've ever seen. I've been trying not to focus on cinematography as much in my reviews since movies are supposed to look good, but man this one has that painting aesthetic and it utilizes wide shots with very few camera cuts which is refreshing. I really enjoyed this and definitely recommend it.
