Mann's crime-drama oozes style, highlighting a gritty, grainy Los Angeles crime scene. Helmed by Al Pacino and Robert De Niro, Heat features one of the best action set pieces of all time. Come for the action, stay for the existential melodrama. A true work of art that I'd recommend to anyone.

- turbob24August 16, 2026Quite simply, the greatest cops and robbers movie ever made. The first meeting of DeNiro and Pacino and it's minimal, but so deep. The biggest character is the city of LA, you smell it, taste it..... The cast performances are minimal but every line has weight. You really need to listen. And the shootout in the middle.... You are IN IT. Brilliant film making. I hope the newly announced 2 does it justice.
