It's like The Ring but Tooth Fairy. Also, the main actor died in real life :( So sad.

🦷🌑 I was 10 years old when "Darkness Falls" came out on DVD, and I still remember watching the opening as a kid and thinking "Yep this is going to haunt me for the rest of my childhood." That was more than enough, to make me think twice about turning the lights off. 😂 What I absolutely love about "Darkness Falls" is the way that it utilises darkness. The Tooth Fairy is at her most effective; when she's lurking just out of sight, hiding in the shadows and showing her to you in small doses, until the last act of the movie. The film wisely doesn't throw her in your face straight away; even though you do see her in the opening of the film. But it's how they shoot it, that somehow keeps her at an arms length. It really does and did add that creep factor to it for me. However "Darkness Falls" does have its weaknesses, such as they don't really dive into or enhance the lore and the mythology of it. They only touch the surface of it and they don't dive deep into it. Also apart from our protagonist Kyle Walsh, there's nobody else that really stands out, he was the only interesting character in for me, apart from The Tooth Fairy. There's a lack of nuance & themes as well. And finally what really annoyed me the most about "Darkness Falls" is the runtime, the film is only 82 Mins long and that's with the end credits by the way. A very short film to say the least. If they had just made it 20 Mins longer or something, they could have expanded upon a few things and give the film more depth & meaning to it. My Personal Scores/Ratings for 🦷🌑 Darkness Falls is a 6.75/10 & ⭐️⭐️⭐️ & a Half Stars.

I freaking loved this movie when it came out. Still a gripping thriller after all these years. Make sure you sleep with a light on...

Entertaining horror film. Suspenseful, a bit over the top but overall enjoyable!
