- Luke EricksonMarch 13, 2025All I have to say is Yeah Baby, Yeah! I saw this movie on the old preview movie screenings on Saturday night a week before the wide release. I was 11 and my parents had no idea what this movie was about. I am a 4th child so they had other things on their mind. I loved every second of it. Casey Lam and I were the only ones in the theater and we died laughing. We also quoted it for the next year of school. Good times!
- 匚卂尺ㄥFebruary 1, 2025👓This is a really good movie, It's just a mystery/action movie with hilarious humor, And this is just a really good movie ⚠️WARNING ⚠️ - This movie has some meaner jokes and sometimes this movie can have some very inappropriate parts and jokes and a few cuss words, In some parts the characters can be seen pulling out guns and shooting, And violent scenes like when dr evil froze to death*** Other than that, This is a really good movie, I recommend watching it, And you definitely will not regret it.
- Richard ThorntonJuly 22, 2025I remember this movie coming out and being everywhere, becoming a part of the culture immediately.
- Manuel FrangisFebruary 12, 2025I just watched Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery again, and it is an easy 5 out of 5 stars for me. My grandfather got me to watch this movie when I was a kid, and I remember thinking it was the weirdest, funniest thing ever. Watching it now, it still holds up as a ridiculous, over the top comedy that never takes itself seriously. The humor is pure Mike Myers. Goofy, exaggerated, and packed with ridiculous one liners. Austin is such a bizarre character, but that is what makes him great. His over the top confidence, outdated charm, and complete lack of self awareness make every scene hilarious. The way the movie plays with spy movie clichés is brilliant, turning every James Bond style trope into an opportunity for comedy. Dr Evil is just as iconic as Austin himself, with his slow talking, ridiculous plans, and completely dysfunctional relationship with his son adding some of the funniest moments in the movie. The jokes never stop, and while some of them feel a little dated, most still land perfectly. There is something about the way the movie blends absurdity with charm that makes it so rewatchable. The style of the movie is part of what makes it so fun. The bright colors, the outrageous costumes, and the funky sixties music make it feel like a parody and a tribute to old school spy films at the same time. The pacing is solid, and even though the story is completely ridiculous, it somehow works. The side characters add to the fun, and every scene has something unexpected happening. There is always a joke, a silly action scene, or some wild reaction that keeps the movie moving at a great pace. One of the best things about Austin Powers is how self aware it is. It knows exactly what kind of movie it wants to be, and it fully commits to the insanity. From the hilariously long reaction shots to the ridiculous dialogue, the whole movie is filled with moments that feel completely stupid but in the best way possible. There is no attempt to make anything logical or realistic. It is all about having fun with the concept, and that is what makes it work so well. Looking back, I probably did not get half the jokes as a kid, but it was still hilarious just because of how silly everything was. Now, I can appreciate just how clever some of the humor really is. It is a mix of slapstick, wordplay, pop culture references, and parody, and it somehow all blends together perfectly. Some jokes are so stupid that they become genius, and that is a rare thing for a comedy to pull off. Another reason this movie is so fun to rewatch is the quotability. So many lines from this movie have stuck around for years, and you cannot help but laugh when you hear them again. Whether it is Austin’s ridiculous catchphrases or Dr Evil’s dramatic monologues, there is always something memorable in every scene. The action sequences are just as ridiculous as everything else. The fighting is over the top, the chase scenes are completely absurd, and there are moments where it feels like the movie is making fun of itself. That is part of what makes it so unique. It does not just parody spy movies. It embraces the ridiculousness of them and takes it to another level. Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery is one of the best comedies of its time. It is weird, ridiculous, and completely unfiltered in its approach to humor. It never tries to be anything serious, and that is exactly why it works so well. It is one of those movies that never gets old, no matter how many times you watch it.
- DdoughnutJuly 12, 2025The most stupidest, dumb, idiotic, braindead movie I have ever seen, but I can't lie and say I had a great time with it
- mickerdooJune 25, 2025So many quotable and laugh out loud gags in this one. Plus Hurley and Udenio are smoking hot.
- NonPlayableContentJune 13, 2025Anyone born in the 90s will smirk and chuckle, its a lot of harmless fun. This movie is more PC than anything like it in this era, you will see Will Ferrell in brown face and that's also something worth seeing.
