The series deals with life on and around the weekly newspaper in the smaller provincial town of Holby, which is an hour's drive from Copenhagen. Here is a motley gallery of ten people, including an editor-in-chief with a sick wife and a photographer with a woman cover and poor personal finances. The inn Stiften is located opposite the newspaper editorial office and also provides premises for the main characters' lives.
