- TomVaderJuly 26, 2026As a fan of the original British "Top Gear", I'll say that the US version gets close to the level they set. The chemistry feels somewhat similar to the classic lineup, and the content also mirrors the British show. If I'm being honest, the weak part is Adam Ferrara, whose comedy didn't land for me, and his car knowledge didn't come off as valid to me. Still, the show was entertaining, and Rutledge with his "aw, shucks" attitude and Foust with incredible driving abilities had more than enough car cred to carry the show. It's more accessible than the British version for an American audience, and they tend to do mostly the whole "buy a cheap car, beat it up, and argue about which one is best", which I enjoy.
