The Mandalorian Ratings & Reviews
- OctothornMarch 21, 2026I enjoyed the first two seasons very much. On watching, I felt it was the most faithful modern return of the spirit of the original 1977 film. My rating is a reflection of those first two seasons only. After Gina Carano was forced out for political reasons, the downward spiral began, and I do not even consider it to be the same show by the third season.
- CallumNovember 5, 2025⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ – The Mandalorian – This Is the Way to Do Star Wars The Mandalorian might just be the crown jewel of the modern Star Wars universe — a show that manages to feel both fresh and classic at the same time. It’s a lone-wolf western in space, where every dusty planet is another frontier town and every duel feels like it could echo through the galaxy. Temuera Morrison may have reignited the flame as Boba Fett, but it’s Pedro Pascal’s stoic Mandalorian who truly made the armour iconic again. And of course, there’s Grogu — the little green phenomenon the world lovingly calls Baby Yoda. His presence transformed the show from just another blaster-and-jetpack adventure into something genuinely heartfelt. Watching a hardened bounty hunter grow to protect a small, fragile being gave Star Wars the emotional depth it had been missing since the original trilogy. The production is cinematic, the gunfights are perfectly paced, and the respect for Star Wars lore is clear. It builds the world outward — from bounty hunters and Mandalorian creeds to the shadow of the fallen Empire — without ever breaking what came before. With sci-fi heavyweights like Katee Sackhoff, Carl Weathers, and Chris Bartlett adding their weight to the cast, it’s no wonder this became the new benchmark for franchise storytelling. Three seasons in and still not enough — this isn’t just a continuation of Star Wars; it’s its evolution. 🥃 Pairing: A glass of smoky whisky — neat, disciplined, and with a warmth that sneaks up on you, much like the Mandalorian himself.
- Kraine OpasenJune 20, 2025“This is the way.” A love letter to Star Wars, The Mandalorian blends the mythic spirit of the original trilogy with fresh storytelling and cinematic brilliance. Every episode feels like a mini space-western — intimate, adventurous, and rich with lore. Pedro Pascal brings gravitas and quiet depth to Din Djarin, a lone warrior with a code — and a heart. And then… there's Grogu. A cultural phenomenon. A bond that melted the galaxy. Together, they anchor a story that’s both epic and personal. From the dusty outskirts of Tatooine to the heart of Mandalore, the show expands the universe without losing its soul. The action hits hard, the visuals are breathtaking, and the music by Ludwig Göransson is pure Star Wars magic with a new heartbeat. If you grew up with the Force — The Mandalorian is a gift. If you’re new to the galaxy — this is the way to fall in love.
- theLillyPadJune 18, 2025This is a difficult show to rate. A perfect first season, okay second, and disastrous third. Neither the second or third seasons ever convince me they needed to exist after the first season wrapped up so nicely. The first season came out right when hope for Star Wars was needed the most and my my did it deliver. But by the third season, it can simply be added to the pile of key-jangling, cameo-infested slop with most of the rest of the live-action shows.
