Carmy, a young fine-dining chef, comes home to Chicago to run his family sandwich shop. As he fights to transform the shop and himself, he works alongside a rough-around-the-edges crew that ultimately reveal themselves as his chosen family.

- Scott SmithOctober 19, 2025This is a excellent drama series about a group of people working at a family restaurant in Chicago, and what they go through as they attempt to transition it from a neighborhood dive into an upscale eatery. The kitchen scenes are very realistic and stressful. It's very well acted and written. It won many awards, and deserves them all. I could never do something like this for a living, but it's fascinating to watch as an outsider.
- raytango196d agoThis Show is something else. Growing up in Chicago there is so much about this show and what happens in this show the make me reflect on. Every single Episode is hit me. Just a damn good show.
- dogcomplexDecember 2, 2025These people are crazy and I guess I'm in for it. Really gives you that feeling of being trapped in a small room with someone having a psychotic break one moment then being the most real and human the next - then more random chaos of Life crashes in again and that little memory of peace becomes treasured. Is this what we've come to as viewers now? This is what we want? We could just go back you know - watch some Frasier with a canned laugh track? Maybe modern cinema can go too far? Nonetheless, there is something uniquely human and special embedded in this show. You just have to... sigh... *sigh*.... Bear through it. Seriously they named it that on purpose for exactly this take. I'm not being cute.

IFrom a frantic inner battle with his demons while trying to keep his dreams alive, to a trashy soap opera with morals fit for a 4-year-old, diluted with bland characters who only exist to check ESG boxes. Let's just keep destroying art. What does it matter anymore? I won't fall for it again.

WTF. Just let there be silence in the background. Play music that isn't meant for a 50 year old Christian mother. And please, for the love of god, stop sniffing your own farts!
- amortechJuly 5, 2025Great show. Much more than a cooking show. Very relatable with crazy family and broken family. Good character builds and the actors are great. Don't watch the show if you are hungry...superior cooking however I would be happy with the beef sandwich.
