- hairydemonNovember 22, 2025A turd dressed in magic hour lighting. It only gets a star because of the fantastic performance of Kevin Kline who elevates really awful middle class material which is badly plotted, researched and executed. Lubetski has decided that every scene has to be sunset, even in London where we rarely see sun. It feels like a cheap novel an office worker would read on the tube to work, with cheesy acting and overly emotional music. Apart from the fact that at it's core it doesn't make any sense whatsoever, and is completely preposterous. A very thin premise to hang a thriller on indeed, and the twist at the end is so clunkily delivered that it is unbelieveable. It suddenly makes the preceeding performance and logic of Cate Blanchett's character even more preposterous. But Kline earns that star and I wish he would be in more films. he is superb! Worth enduring for his performance. 5 stars for Kevin. 0 for the filmmakers.
- marshalseaMarch 22, 2025Genuinely brilliant writing. Those not versed in psychology beware you'll probably complain at the screen that they're not acting properly but they really are. If you understand humans stick through all of this for a full story. Acting is super from all cast members - special shout out to Kevin Klines performance - wow, there's a reason he was a darling of the 90s and it's on display here. Sad for many reasons but mainly cause it's over and have to leave this world behind.
- Patrick and NancyNovember 16, 2024The twist at the end makes all the sensual scenes, early on, quite sickening. But that's the goal? It was well done and engaging.
- MkTVOctober 19, 2024Disclaimer is a ripper of a show that definitely deserves more than its 67% TMDB rating. It keeps you hooked with its intense plot and well-crafted characters. It’s one of those series that sticks with you. Sasha Baron Cohen is fantastic and it's great to see an almost unrecognisable Kevin Kline. Well worth a watch!
