The iconic Bengali sleuth, Byomkesh Bakshi prefers to call himself a truth-seeker or 'Satyanweshi'. The series, set in the 1930s, narrates the adventures of Byomkesh and his friend-cum-biographer, Ajit, who accompanies Bakshi on the investigative trail of complex crimes.
