- macaronz20 de agosto de 2026Turn Your Brain Off, Enjoy the Shark Bites, and Move On 🦈🍿 The Meg is a textbook popcorn flick! Experiencing this on the big screen in a theater would undoubtedly be a blast. However, if you look at it from a technical or realistic standpoint, the film completely failed to impress. The CGI is pretty hit-or-miss too; some scenes look okay, while others look straight-up childish. If you're a Statham fan, you can check it out. But honestly, it's just a one-time watch. You watch it, enjoy the chaos, and completely forget it exists. Not the kind of movie you ever rewatch... at least, I'm never touching it again!

Positives: - The movie is well made, well directed, well shot, well edited, and well paced - The CGI for the Megalodon looks great - The movie delivers on it’s premise and what it sets out to do - The Meg eating people - The action sequences are dumb but a lot of fun Negatives: - The movie is very generic - The characters are very dull and generic - It’s really just Jason Statham doing his action movie under a Meg skin - The performances are fine at best Overall The Meg is a fun summer blockbuster. If you like shark movies or Jason Statham action movies I recommend this to you.

It's hard to get invested when the other actors outside of Jason Statham are over the top caricatures of supposedly real people. Add the obvious CGI... it's not a good combination. So this movie is Mid at best.
