The Last Word Ratings & Reviews
- David C.November 21, 2025This film didn't get a lot of good reviews but I thought different of it, I seem to get a lot out of it, Shirley MacLaine and Amanda Seyfried were great in their roles, the plot was different, unusual and refreshing. I laughed, I cried & I thought the film had an interesting and worthwhile message to it... Go ahead & watch it & you decide if the movie is good or if it lacked some key elements? Decide for yourself and form your own impression of it but for goodness sake, see it and form your own opinion of it, I came away with some interesting thoughts, it definitely gave me something to think about and a good message... 👍
- Mister ArnMay 18, 2025The filmmakers embarked on a task at the film's onset: to paint Shirley McLean's character as a despicable person. However, their efforts to portray her as an insufferable and narcissistic individual who made everyone's lives miserable with her mere presence proved to be a formidable challenge for the audience to overcome. As the film progressed and we were given a deeper insight into her life, she slowly transformed into a nuanced, multidimensional character, eliciting empathy.
