Where to Watch The Invention of Lying
- GerryFebruary 15, 2025I like Ricky Gervais's works and sadly this is the worst thing i have seen that has come from him. The film concept is cool but the film is incredibly boring and executed poorly. People in this film do not lie but the fact they have to spout every thought out loud and say nasty things is dumb. Mark's boss is one example as stops himself saying nasty things because he doesn't want to hurt Marks feeling and doesn't have the courage to do so but for some reason this doesn't apply to every other character in the film, It makes the other characters come off as NPC's without depth including the love interest or Marks best friend. I know its a comedy but this film is more shallow than Norbit.
