- John ChapelAugust 7, 2026I understand that there are hallmarks of LGBT humor, but you would be mystified at the amount of "bad hair" jokes in this movie; which nobody is laughing at to begin with, but moreso considering everyones hair is CLEARLY amazing. I was genuinely impressed with the amount of cameos in this movie. And they're GOOD cameos too, but like there are so many amazing cameos in this movie; I don't know how they managed or afforded it. I feel like Tina Fey had to have a hand in this somehow. Still, cameos aside, the movie has a big problem... The camp isnt the issue. The overacting isn't the issue. The self-aware ridiculous isn't the issue; these are all part of drag culture. It just is REALLY unfunny. And the only part that got a genuine laugh out of me is in the trailer.

It's campy, over-the-top, and packed with fabulous drag queens who bring endless energy, personality, and laughs to every scene. The humor is delightfully silly, and I found myself laughing out loud more than once. While it's not meant to be a deep or thought-provoking film, it fully embraces its outrageous charm and delivers exactly what it promises. By the end, I couldn't help but leave with a smile on my face. If you're looking for a feel-good movie that's unapologetically fun, full of heart, and celebrates queer joy with a wink, this is absolutely worth watching. I loved every minute of its wonderfully silly gay fun.

- damask00July 30, 2026I wanted this to be better. I wanted this film to work, but like many sketches from RuPaul's Drag Race, it suffers from a problematic script that just isn't inherently funny. And much like in Drag Race, it feels as though it directed itself. Compared to Mel Brooks' or the Zucker brothers' films, it lacks both a comedic identity and a cinematic vision. I feel sorry for many of the actors I like, as they truly had nothing to work with. Unfortunately.

- Julie BairdJuly 22, 2026I pressed play on Stop That Train purely out of curiosity and because I wanted something I could watch with approximately 17% of my brain switched on. Reader… she stayed. This film is camp, chaotic and about as subtle as a death drop in a church. It gave me serious Airplane! vibes with its unapologetically stupid slapstick humour, and I laughed a lot more than I expected. Some of the jokes are very “if you know, you know”, and Drag Race fans will absolutely catch the references. The recurring gags also understood the assignment. The biggest gag of all? They cast Jujubee and Ginger Minj as the leads and neither of them was acting for their life. They’re two of the Drag Race franchise’s most dependable queens, they have great chemistry, and they fully commit to the tomfoolery. No notes. Don’t come expecting an emotional masterpiece. The closest it gets is watching Donna prove all the mediocre men at the train company wrong before saving the day with a whole crew of underestimated women. We love a winner’s edit. This isn’t prestige cinema. It’s camp nonsense, silly puns and enough drag references to keep the children fed. If you’re a Drag Race fan, I’d say shantay, you stay. If you’ve never watched Drag Race… sashay away.

A couple joke templates and a plot line or two would be fine but this rips multiples *straight* from Airplane! Also reminds me of Scaey Movie 3 (complimentary) Happy Pride! 🏳️🌈 June Diane Raphael rules and Natasha Leggero stays hot and hilarious (same can be said for JDR ftr) Parnell was killing me. Wish the other side characters had a little more joke screen time! The guy that reviewed this film and gave it 1 star and said “I have little tolerance for this kind of gay culture.” is a fucking idiot. This is straight slapstick with a little bit of LGBT flair thrown in. If you hate this type of gay culture, you’re either homophobic, or you hate it when LGBT people are hilarious (i.e. you’re homophobic) So silly, so fun! Watched at Warren Regal East Currently Ranked #51/96 in 2026 Ranked Added to Slapstick Fantastic Added to 24 Hour Movie People
