- macaronz2d agoThis is one of those films that has stayed with me ever since the first time I watched it. It introduced something genuinely fresh to the genre; I had never seen anything like that voracious splinter parasite before. The creepy scenes are genuinely terrifying and make your skin crawl. Overall, it’s really well crafted, and everyone in the cast does a great job. For me it's criminally underrated.

Shot in mostly a single location, the tense action and genuine scares will keep you locked in. You know that something like this doesn’t exist in real life but I bet after watching Splinter, you’ll think twice about going near road kill again. A truly fun watch for horror fans who love creature features, this film is a horror gem that belongs in your collection.
