Where to Watch Righteous Kill
- ZokkiieOctober 28, 2026Pacino and De Niro sharing the screen again should be a much bigger deal than it actually is here. They have their moments, and watching two legends play off each other is still enjoyable, but the film never gives them material worthy of their talent. The basic idea of two veteran detectives investigating a series of murders has potential, and there's a decent crime thriller somewhere in here. Unfortunately, the dialogue is clunky, the investigation isn't particularly gripping, and the film leans way too heavily on its big twist. You can almost feel it trying to make every scene seem more clever than it really is. The supporting cast doesn't get much to work with either, and the whole thing feels surprisingly cheap and forgettable for a movie with these leads. Not completely without entertainment value, but a pretty disappointing use of two actors who deserve much better.
