Disappointing horror filler. Better check out ‘the boy behind the door’ by the same writer/director team.

I liked it. Good suspense. Production was good. An entertaining minimalist movie.

David Charbonier & Justin Powell's latest film Push is a perfect example of the latter; a picture that might not bring anything groundbreaking to the home invasion subgenre, but stands as a solid entry into its canon.
Mac the Movie Guy
John Stark
A nearly silent film, in terms of dialogue, is nearly impossible to experience as a blind person without audio description. I shudder to think how long this push will continue.
Heaven of Horror
Karina Adelgaard
...a new Home Invasion Thriller with a pregnant protagonist. A very pregnant protagonist. Also, it plays out a few decades ago, which means no cellphones. It's tense and intense in all the right ways, but also feels familiar.

Push may ultimately aggravate thanks to the number of unanswered questions generated by its ambiguous villain and his murky motives, but tonally its a sinister simmer casually edging its audience to climax.
MovieWeb
Julian Roman
A gutsy lead performance from Alicia Sanz keeps Push compelling when the narrative dramatically falters and a puzzling change of scenery pops the established tension like a balloon.
IGN Movies
Lena Wilson
A sleek, blood-spattered shell that perplexes more than it disturbs.
Movie Madness Podcast

You can count the number of times the protagonist rubs her belly which outscores the number of actual thrills in this.
Geek Vibes Nation
Liselotte Vanophem
While there might not be enough tension and scares for Push to truly become an outstanding film, Charbonnier and Powell use enough suspense, unease, and on-point performances to make their third collaboration a wonderful watch.
Casey's Movie Mania
Casey Chong
What begins as a tense home invasion thriller soon deflates into a dreary genre exercise.
Daily Dead
Matt Donato
Everything is borderline "fine," teetering on "fine enough," which is an underwhelming place to exist.
Mark Reviews Movies
Mark Dujsik
[C]onsiderable portions of this movie are dedicated to watching Natalie walk or wander around the mansion.
Fish Jelly Films (YouTube)
Joseph Robinson
With its ambiguous villain and slowly paced cat-and-mouse game, Push fails to deliver a thriller with much tension.
Next Best Picture
Josh Parham
With a story that creates neither engrossing characters nor an absorbing narrative, what's left is a hollow exercise that is hardly frightening and, even worse, mostly bland and uninspired.
San Jose Mercury News
Randy Myers
Raúl Castillo plays against type and makes for a menacing, unstoppable presence in a genre homage that's yell-at-the-scream enjoyable and seduces with its terrific cinematography from Daniel Katz.
Strong Female Antagonist
Jenn Adams
Dressed all in white, Natalie is a similar mystery and Push becomes a symbolic battle between a virtuous woman and a dangerous world.
Queer.Horror.Movies.
Joe Lipsett
While most of the narrative and character beats of Push will be familiar, they're handled with such expertise that it hardly matters. The film isn't breaking new ground, but it is so confident and well-made that Push is easy to recommend.

Justin & David take the home invasion horror concept & add dimensions to tension. Elevating the audiences concern with a great performance from Alicia & a silent yet unrelenting performance from Raul. Great score, well filmed, & pure horror entertainment!
JVS Media & Productions/Team JVS
Lucas Moore
Anchored by great performances from Alicia Sanz and Raul Castillo, Push excels where other horror films this year have faltered. Co-directors David Charbonier and Justin Powell deliver the best home invasion horror film of this decade.
