- TrialTimeExpired2d agoThis could have been a better film, but it's held back by messaging
- almann32d agoLove a predator movie
- Eric BakkeOctober 12, 2024A gruesome yet fabulous surprise hit of the year. The character Naru is an absolute force to be reckoned with—truly a bad mama jama!
- remii6d agoBy setting the stage to a pre-may flower time the franchise gains a surprisingly revigora ring second youth. We will forgive the feminism anachronisme but that return to the minimalistic and the bare basics is refreshing.
- Vögii the GOctober 12, 2025solid action movie, but won't watch twice
- j.pete6October 12, 2025It's not bad! Some less than stellar dialogue and acting, but man I'm just glad to have a decent predator movie.
- Wyn JonesSeptember 18, 2025Excellent. An engrossing and more personal take on the Predator idea. Really, really liked it. Would watch again.
- Nick BSeptember 17, 2025A solid entry in the Predator franchise. Fresh perspectives and settings produce intriguing glimpses into the tools, culture, and motivations of the alien hunters. The portrayal of Native American culture at the onset of colonization feels reasonably accurate and respectful, contributing to a raw, realistic feel. A script that could have just as easily “camped it up” with dated references and attitudes, performative ignorance, or any of the other maladies that frequently afflict period piece adaptations of established cinematic franchises instead presents as a polished - though mildly fanbase-pandering - work in the action-horror genre.
- jackmeatSeptember 14, 2025My quick rating - 6.9/10. Finally, another Predator flick, so let's see where this interesting idea takes it. I wouldn't have expected a prequel showing us the Predator arriving in the 1700s to go to war with tribal Indians, but that is what this straight-to Hulu project gives us. I have been looking forward to this since the rumor mill began a couple of years ago about it. And the good news is, I wasn't disappointed at all. In what sounded like a flaw in bringing back the predator in a technologically challenged time turned out to make it that much better to demonstrate the human will to live against odds they have no business surviving. The cast was near perfect in keeping the Native American feeling realistic since they didn't cast outside of their culture. In other words, they didn't whitewash it. The action looks excellent and is choreographed to a tee. There is also a great feeling of suspense that keeps mounting in the hunt, allowing it to switch from who is the hunter and who is the prey. I was very impressed not only with a prequel that really brought me back to the feel of the original flick, but also with every aspect of creating this world to drop the alien into. Little scenes showing the predator interacting with the creatures were nicely added to show the predator knowing only his singular goal on the planet, and that is to hunt the strongest being it can find. Doesn't matter what that happens to be. A very welcome addition to the entire Predator universe that really deserves to be seen.
- RavlorSeptember 9, 2025I liked it! It was a lot of Predator and the setting felt fresh. The girl power felt natural and from a technical standpoint it was beautiful and very well done. If I must mention the negative I felt some of the acting felt too modern and some of it pretty bad, even. Especially from her brother. Overall a very good movie.
- Junior ReyesAugust 19, 2025It was AMAZING! I loved the characters, the acting, the era, the fight choreography, and the stunts, which were VERY well done and looked amazing, elevating the experience so much. The Predator looked AMAZING (especially with those special effects). 😎👍
- RichyEAugust 16, 2025Absolutely loved every minute of Prey. From the moment it started, I was hooked, not just because it’s a Predator movie, but because it felt like something entirely new and bold. The setting in 1719 was such a refreshing choice. It gave the story this raw, earthy vibe that made everything feel more intense and grounded. What really stuck with me was how Prey managed to honor the legacy of the franchise while carving out its own identity. It didn’t rely on nostalgia, it earned its place with a tight story, a compelling lead and a fresh perspective. The action scenes were brutal and beautifully choreographed. The Predator design was different, but it worked and it felt primal and terrifying, like it truly belonged in that era. If you’ve ever loved a Predator movie, or even if you haven’t, Prey is worth your time. It’s not just good. It’s exhilarating, thoughtful, and absolutely badass. I genuinely didn’t want it to end (I hope there will come a extended version), and I’m already planning to rewatch it.
