Prey

Prey
Set in the Comanche Nation 300 years ago, this is the story of Naru, a fierce and highly skilled warrior, raised in the shadow of legendary hunters who roam the Great Plains. When danger threatens her camp, she sets out to protect her people. The prey she stalks: a highly evolved alien predator with a technically advanced arsenal.

Finally! A good Predator movie. Really good. Prey marries the American wild frontier with the sci-fi lore of the Predator and delivers a taut action thriller while simultaneously reviving a franchise I had long written off as dead. Amber Midthunder slays every moment of this film. The fight scenes and choreography are all really well done with creativity and brutality in all of the kills. The Predator design is different, but it had grown on me by the end of the film. I want to immediately watch again in the Comanche dub. I really wish they had filmed it with Comanche dialogue but I won’t shave any points until I’ve seen the dubbed version. Really pleasantly surprised by this and actually has me hoping for more Predator movies.
