Lockout Ratings & Reviews
- ርልዪረFebruary 14, 2025If you like Die Hard and you like Sci Fi, then the odd are you will probably like this film.
- SaturnFoxDieDecember 4, 2025Hard 5 star, amazing movie, some bad CG in one spot there but all in all Pearce plays an amazing character. Love it.
- flavo43November 23, 2025Lockout is one of those fun, fast-paced action films that feels instantly familiar—maybe a little too familiar. A lone hero sent to rescue someone from a dangerous prison? Only this time the prison happens to be in space. The plot borrows so heavily from classics like Escape from New York that you can practically predict each story beat before it happens. And yet, despite that, I still found myself entertained, almost entirely because of Guy Pearce’s performance. His sarcastic, tough-as-nails lead character injects the movie with a sharp wit and energy that keeps the whole thing afloat. Without him, I honestly might have lost interest halfway through. The action is slick enough, the sci-fi setting adds a bit of novelty, and the pacing rarely slows down. It may not be original, but Lockout delivers a solid, throwaway good time—thanks largely to Pearce turning a derivative script into something genuinely watchable.
