- VarunOctober 19, 2024This is without a doubt the definitive way to watch Kill Bill. A goofy revenge story told with so much style, fun, grit and innovativeness, I was thoroughly entertained for 4 hours straight. The soundtracks are so badass and riveting. The fight scenes were really cool. It’s got tones of westerns, anime, old Chinese martial arts films, blaxploitation, comedies and so much more, and it all seamlessly blends to form this wonder of wackiness and brilliant spectacle. Above all else, the dialogue is on another level and really sells the villains as ominous characters, and of course credits to the actors for delivering these lines with such gravitas. I saw both movies as a kid but couldn’t recollect much, I’m glad I rewatched it in this version and had a great time!

This film, to me, acts as the perfect fusion of samurai movies, spaghetti westerns, and Hollywood spectacle. The Showdown at The House of Blue Leaves, where The Bride must face-off against O-Ren Ishii and the Crazy 88, is a masterclass in how to create an action scene, and the rest of the action in the movie has a level of quality only slightly below that. Do yourself a favor; if you truly love movies, go see Kill Bill, because you will almost certainly love it too. This the only way to watch this movie everything flows so smoothly. The sure power of this version blows you away. If you can a find a way to watch it you'll have the best 4 hours of your life
