- ricomckee12h agoFans of the Musical will love this movie. Fans of the original John Waters film will find it an abomination. I am the later. It doesn’t have the edge the original had and it amps up the wrong things and underplays the more important. There are stand out performances though- including James Marsden, Michelle Pfeiffer, Nikki Blonsky, and Brittany Snow. Unfortunately, except for these- all other performances lack the passion and grit that made the original a classic.
