What makes the movie so satisfying for lawyer-movie fans is the way it blends psychological strategy with courtroom drama. The story isn’t just about law procedures; it’s about thinking several moves ahead, spotting loopholes, and moral dilemmas—Hopkins’ character is brilliant and manipulative, and Gosling has to match that intelligence step by step. The pacing keeps you guessing, and the twists are clever without feeling forced.
