Art imitating art is the basis of this demonic tale of a group of invited guests to the screening of a horror film that brings naturalism to life. They are baited and penned, and their walled-in feeling quickly turns to screaming fear as those who are dead lust after the flesh of the living. In this full-scale cinema of hell, it's only a question of time before demons from the abyss are asking for second portions.

Demons Ratings & Reviews
- Kevin WardJuly 6, 2025Demons has been on my watchlist for a while now and it didn’t disappoint. Some gnarly looking demon teeth, claws, eyes highlight some of the excellent practical effects. It’s light on characterization. I think the only character name I remember was Tony played by Bobby Rhodes. But when you have a samurai sword wielding, motorcycle riding action set-piece inside an old movie theater, who needs characterization? Really fun watch with a killer Goblin score and some excellent needle drops.
- Matthias_812April 4, 2025Demons has a story that is so stupid simple that it's mind blowing this concept has not been produced before. Starting off with literally watching people watch a movie in a theatre. At this point it's hard to believe this is a movie oozing with flesh thirsty zombie behaving demons drooling neon green slime. All taking place in a red and blue neon drenched cinema of course. Producer Dario Argento had a strong say in his signature color splash. Although you may be turned off by the silly plot and overacting- the impressive gore, splatter, and transformation effects will keep you glued and win you over in the end. Satisfying all your horror needs and making you check off each box that makes horror great! People without thinking throw the best practical effects award to Carpenter's take of The Thing or Cronenberg's revision of The Fly but here I give you a film that will dance toe to toe with such genre classics. You looking for effective 80's cheese? Jaw dropping practical gore effects? Flesh eating zombies/demons? Junkies snorting coke out of a Coca-Cola can? Or how about a dude riding a motorcycle around the inside of a movie theatre with a girl hanging off the back slashing up demons with a samurai sword while 80's heavy metal shreds underneath?!
