Trouble strikes when runaway robbers in a getaway car hit truck full of explosives in the tunnel connecting Manhattan and New Jersey. Survivors are left in a weakened tunnel blocked at both exits. As Kit Latura approaches the tunnel, he sees the impact and knows he gotta take action. With time running out, he enters the tunnel through a system of maintenance walkways. Can he get the survivors out before the tunnel fills up?

- jackmeatAugust 21, 2025My quick rating - 6.1/10. Another flick Plex chose for the holidays that I saw years ago in the theater, but don't remember why it would be considered a Xmas movie. Something very eerie about the end of a movie and highlighting the symbol of "Survival" after the ordeal they go through, and it is a sprawling shot of the World Trade Center. I also did not hear a single mention of Christmas in this movie; the closest thing was a family driving through the tunnel mentioning taking a holiday. But I had forgotten how incredibly realistic the explosion was that sealed up the tunnel in this. Granted, shortly after, the movie dives into completely unrealistic territory (the high-voltage wire scene is so painfully stupid). This aside, I actually liked this one. The acting from the trapped people that Sylvester Stallone goes into the tunnel to save is diverse and done well. It didn't break any ground as far as the disaster flix go, but it certainly was a slight step ahead of the norm. The action is well-paced and keeps your attention with some good-looking set design for a fairly claustrophobic setting. Unfortunately, we didn't get enough of Viggo Mortensen in this one, but that was clearly written for him. I also liked Amy Brenneman in her role as the street-smart damsel in distress. Holds up pretty well, but surely isn't a Xmas flick. Glad I caught back up with it since I am not even sure I have seen this one since I saw it back when at the drive-in.
- ZokkiieJuly 19, 2025Solid effects and strong atmosphere, but weighed down by flat characters and clunky dialogue. It looks good for its time and keeps the tension up, but don’t expect depth. Decent pacing, decent action — just not much more than that.
- ርልዪረJune 29, 2025Every one of your movies has a great plot and always either keeps you on the edge of your seat, or keeps you laughing,if it is comedy. Most of the cast are either familiar or are so right for the part , you feel as though you are in the scene with them. I have never gotten bored or even changed to another movie instead of watching the one I chose... If I may go on to say,I always heard "You cannot judge a book by it:s cover",It stands tp reason, You also cannot judge a movie by the name of it...But in retrospect I have actually chosen books and movies by their cover or the name...Usually you can tell somewhat about the content by the names or covers... {Call me rebellious to the ""Can"t judge it by the cover cliche" I have truly enjoyed the many that I had the privilege of viewing... I respectfully intend to treat myself to many more... I just pull up the website and scroll until my eyes catch one that appeals to me and "CLICK"... It is truthfully that simple... Thank you all to "whom it may concern"for the acceptance you have shown for me to be able to escape to watching these magnificent movies...
