Chopper Ratings & Reviews
- SophOctober 17, 2025I was blown away with Bana’s performance as Mark Chopper Read. It’s immediately easy to forget that Bana doesn’t quite look like the real life Chopper because his portrayal is just uncanny. He was able to capture his personality, twisted humor, mannerisms and chilling darkness incredibly well. It’s unsurprising that Read himself suggested Bana for the role after seeing him on a sketch comedy show and that Bana spent several days with Read and extensively interviewed people who had known him to prepare for the part. Bana plays quite the convincing villain.
- Tommy1582August 8, 2025Great film. Eric Bana as Chopper... Excellent casting. Well worth watching.
- Halim MellickJune 9, 2025From an era where Australia had its own brand of humour, albeit dark humour. Modern Australian cinema feels to much like imitating the USA but this is from a time where we leant into our own style
