- JkrilinOctober 11, 2024“Blink Twice” is one of those movies that grabs you from the first minute and doesn't let go. The plot revolves around a mystery that seems simple at first, but takes increasingly intense twists, leaving you glued to the screen. It all starts with what seems to be an everyday situation, but as the minutes progress, you realize that nothing is what it seems. The director manages to create an atmosphere charged with tension and moments where you literally have to remind yourself to breathe. Added to this is a very solid cast, with performances that feel real and emotionally charged. The film plays with your expectations, and just when you think you know what's going to happen, it gives you a reality check you didn't see coming. It's a film that invites you to pay attention to every detail, as if you're piecing together a puzzle. And while it is loaded with intriguing moments, it also has room for those calmer moments that make you reflect on why the characters' decisions. It's one of those films that when it's over, leaves you thinking about what you've just seen for quite a while. In short, “Blink Twice” is an intelligent, tense and very well constructed thriller, ideal for those who enjoy surprises and mysteries that unfold little by little. Just don't trust anything... or anyone.
- diego.574March 30, 2025Another reason to hate men, this movie is ideologized, it is truth that there's evil people, but, only white men are bad, and women, mostly black are always angels of god according to this boring movie.
- aslamdriverFebruary 19, 2025A Stylish and Gripping Thriller ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ (5/5) Zoë Kravitz delivers a tense and visually stunning thriller that keeps you hooked from start to finish. With a mix of mystery, suspense, and sharp social commentary, the film explores themes of power, control, and hidden dangers lurking beneath luxury. The performances are top-notch, and the eerie atmosphere builds toward a shocking and satisfying conclusion. A must-watch for fans of psychological thrillers!
- ScottMarch 13, 2025This movie was different with a unique storyline. The cast was likeable and they kept your interest. It was one of those movies that was hard to figure out what was going on, but that's what kept my interest, so that's good. I could tell something wasn't right with this whole thing, but I couldn't understand what. It's a psychological thriller that will keep you wondering well through the entire movie until the end, where even then you have to understand the motive behind everything. Just as in real life, our beliefs create our reality and everything else is a simply a reflection of it. Once you grasp this concept the movie will make more sense. The ending was surprising and something I didn't expect. But, it makes sense based on the other events in the movie as the tables are turned.

- 匚卂尺ㄥFebruary 11, 2025If Quentin Tarentino were a feminist who decided to direct a thriller that substituted techies for wise guys and killers, Zoe Kravitz's Blink Twice would be the result. Kravtiz's amazing directorial debut is one big Mind F$#@ in the truest sense- a psychological thriller about the excesses of wealth, violence, and seduction without consequences until the end when the tables turn. Visually lush with a fast pace and great editing that really highlights the descent into all out madness, Blink Twice is Ex Machina and Carrie meets Get Out and The Menu, with a little Dusk to Dawn thrown in. The monsters come out after dark in a tropical, indigenous community of gorgeous scenery, delectable food, and terrible, moonlit secrets. And villain Slater King, skillfully played by Channing Tatum, is the most charming and dangerous of the bunch. The movie's trigger warning is well deserved. But Zoe Kravitz skillfully weaves an unexpected storyline about power, sex and misogyny with art, amazing music, fashion, Greek tragedy, and nature, especially pivotal chase scenes through the forest, to create a surreal, edge of your seat movie that surprises and shocks. It's part modern day thriller/revenge film and vampire movie, except the vampires in a metaphoric sense are techies who cavort during the day, love food, and aren't centuries old. They are still predators though unafraid to sacrifice bodies for their violent desires or to hypnotize victims into a forgetful stupor that renders their victims helpless until a local medicine woman and enchantress helps to shift the tables. And that's when the movie punches the gas and accelerates into high gear and all-out Quentin Tarantinoesque mayhem, ending with a gut punch moment of cold revenge and redemption. You gotta see it. This movie delivers from the acting, set design and pace. And the incredible soundtrack will keep you grooving the whole time.

- ScottDecember 14, 2024The humour was often outcompeting the the tension but the brutality of the twist makes this a pretty memorable watch.
- rg9400November 1, 2024This movie's first half starts out kind of limp, failing to build the kind of insidious tension underneath the surface of this so-called island paradise. During this first half, I kept thinking about Get Out and how it was able to build that sense of uncanniness and weirdness in a way that this movie kind of failed to do, instead often using quick cuts and drug-induced surreal sequences. Eventually, though, the movie starts to play its hand, and the horrors start to unfold in a sickening way. I thought this section of the movie was done pretty well, anchored by strong acting from Naomi Ackie and Adria Arjona. The problem is that as the movie careens toward its ending, it starts to lose sense of the heart at the center of everything. With a concept like this, you need to fully commit to the themes and not try to do too much. Unfortunately, this movie starts to muddle it, with an ending that almost feels like it is undercutting the message it spent so long building up. It's a slick, stylish movie with an important message that unfortunately gets in its own way and lacks the polish it really deserves. Considering it is a debut, Kravitz does an admirable job and can hopefully grow from here.
- VarunOctober 19, 2024This was a decent horror movie. It’s definitely nothing original, this concept has been done so many times before, but I still think it was a good effort. There’s twists that I didn’t see coming, and the eerie sense of foreboding happening under the surface keeps you on your toes the entire runtime. Changing Tatum gave a great performance, he is subtly and passively menacing and reaches a terrifying level towards the end. Naomi Ackie is brilliant too, every expression on her face guides the audience’s emotions through the plot. I think the rest of the characters are kind of insufferable and boring to follow though. Spoiler Alert, I think the worker who helps Frida remember through the snake venom is too contrived and silly, why would Tatum employ someone compromising like that on his Island. I also feel the action and kills towards the end could’ve been a bit more riveting and scary. The ending twist is very good, something most horror movies fail to land. Overall I had a good time but this movie is nothing special.
