Goncharov and Andreyev are searching Alisa's flat when she comes home unexpectedly. Andrey and Alisa have it out: she confesses that her ex-husband is alive and hiding from Stolbov's people. Goncharov goes to Stolbov and tells him he won't treat him anymore. Alisa is kidnapped, and the kidnappers tell Goncharov to come back to Stolbov and push him towards the decision they want.
