S1 • E9 Mar 1, 2009This episode is a parallel alternate reality that expounds more upon the QT force using baseball as the demonstration forum. Consequently, Honoka plays the role of catcher/contract administrator while Akiha conducts herself as a mysterious pitcher that has been endowed with QT powers. The plot wields Itsuki as an orphan with dormant QT powers that has traded baseball for a career as an office lady and charges her an important stewardship: extinguishing Akiha's rampage of revenge. Itsuki is able to stalemate Akiha at her first confrontation due to the structural damage accumulated by the latter reaching critical mass. While Akiha's prologue is explained prior to the doctor's arrival, Itsuki approaches the baseball demon Leopard for his instruction which comes at a high price. Ultimately, Itsuki and Akiha learn that they have both been wielded as tools that have outlived their usefulness.
