Severance Ratings & Reviews
- BradenJanuary 9, 2025All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy. A thrilling, and subtly hilarious, series that takes aim at 'work life balance'. Adam Scott leads this tight ensemble, supported by the likes of screen legends such as Patricia Arquette and John Turturro, to much success. Severance is smart enough to pull back the curtain JUST enough to get a peak of our characters most innate desires, while inviting viewers to sink their teeth into the sinister machinations of corporate conspiracy. Together, it creates a thread that you just can't stop pulling at no matter how hard you try, surely an intentional direction to reflect mood of the 'innies' of Lumon. The first season is truly fantastic, and upon rewatch has offered up dozens of intriguing ideas to chew on. Dive in - what are you waiting for?
- JakeFebruary 13, 2025made me quit my job immediately and live in the woods highly recommend
- Megan CruzMarch 11, 2025You can never really know if a show is one of the greatest before it concludes but Severance has already proven itself to be astoundingly full of artistic merit. I genuinely think it has the potential to be a defining piece of media for the modern era. The camera work and use of color and lighting alone is so far above move television efforts, especially in the streaming era. The emotional and societal resonance is also just extraordinary. I look forward to new episodes more than most things these days honestly.
- SlayerSantiagoMarch 6, 2025Praise Kier!
- GnomeSliceJuly 18, 2025Really exceeded my expectations. Excellent sci-fi premise that explores a lot of complex themes. Great acting and sets; overall very slick production. Highly recommend!
- nandu2u2February 4, 2025One of the best shows airing!
- craigg75February 25, 2025Fine first season however I sense they are running out of room on the second season. I fear it's going to turn out like Lost, lots of unanswered questions with a bow tie at the end to finish the story. I'm glad that the producers have said only 3 seasons and it's over.
- WilliamJuly 8, 2025Exceptional. A truly top quality show. Fantastic acting, sets, and very carefuly writting that respects the viewers intelligence and perception.
- parcolanJuly 2, 2025My rating is 7 out of 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
- Hadiyah WeaverMarch 15, 2025Brilliant & Hilarious!! Very much a show you have to be completely tuned in the whole time to know what’s happening!
- Justin HardinJune 29, 2025Loved the creativity of this show. Their originality really shined through the first season and with the second season came the real seasoned sauce of a plot. As well as how they increased the level of creativity when it comes to the director of photography standpoint. Bravo. Can't wait for Season 3
- WaltJune 27, 2025Very interesting misterious plot. Sometimes it reminds me Backrooms.
- Soham JaiswalMarch 30, 2025Really good story telling, every character has some motivation and all of their crazy actions piece together perfectly like a puzzle by the end There is always some ominous mystery in the background that keeps making you hit the next episode button, absolute cinema But it did feel a little overhyped, maybe its just me but i still really enjoyed it
- cloudsrivalJune 14, 2025Normies LOVE this show and go haywire if you don't think it's as good as they think it is. Boo-hoo. It's an interesting premise, but it meanders too often to retain that interest. 19 episodes where you are only presented with more scenes that give way to more open questions, instead of answering any existing questions. Some plotlines are just dropped. I worked a corporate job for several years at the third largest IT contractor in the world, and this is a clear and obvious exaggeration of that culture. The people who work there are caricatures of real people I've worked with, but the show depicts employees as being treated like literal children, which is funny but also frustrating to watch. I've never had a job in 20 years of corporate IT where anyone behaved like this. I hate corporations, and the "they pay us so we need to keep the job" part is real, but this is the corporate lens viewed through people who've never held a corporate job. My biggest problem is how slowly it's paced out. The writers give almost zero information, then tease the viewer about revealing information before ultimately not revealing anything. It's not an intellectual thing. They simply offer NO information for you to decipher. Clever shows leave clues that allow intellectuals to figure out the plot in advance; this show doesn't even give red herrings. There are good plot twists, but no exposition for an overarching story. You will have watched 2 seasons without really knowing what Lumon is up to. The point is to keep people guessing to extend the show's content, not to have the viewer experience the story.
- natas72716March 21, 2025An absolute mindfuck of a great show. I may actually get severed while waiting for the next season.

- senitsuMay 10, 2025One of the best thriller tv shows you could watch, the acting, choreography and details makes it “absolute cinema” be prepared for cliff hanger endings! cannot wait for the upcoming season
