Upon heading back to Masara Town, Satoshi and his friends see Barrierd trying to escape from a trainer who runs a circus. Unable to get the circus' overweight Barrierd to act, Satoshi and the gang have to find another one to take its place. The gang choose to dress up Satoshi so he can look like a Barrierd. Meanwhile, the Barrierd from earlier comes to Satoshi's house and is mistaken by Hanako for Satoshi.
