1993. 14-year-old Sanka lives a normal teenage life - looking for adventure, trying to defend himself against bullies, doesn't want to go to music school, doesn't know how to communicate with girls and from which adults to take an example.

He spends the graduation party with a cool girl from a parallel class, Ksyukha, and the next morning he meets her father Maxim Nikolaevich, a retired police colonel. Vovka decides to earn easy money and gets involved with bandits. Once he gets a large sum, he turns to Alik for help, who recently got out of prison.

Vovka thinks that the issue with the "goods" has been resolved, but Vasya comes to his house and hints that the debt will have to be worked out. Vovka and Sanka witness the murder.
