I love screenwriter Ronald D. Moore; I appreciate his work on both Star Trek and Battlestar Galactica. Usually, whatever he has touched turned out well. With BSG, he learned the hard way that if he shows something, he also has to explain it, and it was obvious that by the end of the series Outlander, he made a real effort to eliminate those flaws. In my opinion, he succeeded. Filming a dignified ending after several years is always difficult, and it might not please everyone. That is just how it is. As for the music, Bear McCreary, known from Battlestar Galactica, once again delivered a masterpiece. His music is interesting, and I am glad he got to fulfill his dream and finally compose music where bagpipes are a welcome instrument.

First three seasons are the best but still can't stop watching.

The first three seasons are just plain amazing! It is graphic and violent and greedy and fun and sexy and just so much cool going on! And then when they switched to the new evil dude, it totally kind of changed the arc of the show and I found myself slowly losing interest. I only watch this because my wife was in love with it, and then I started watching it, and I fell in love with it, but then we both kind of came to the same conclusion that it had become what we were always afraid of a sappy romance novel. None of the character decisions make sense. All that being said, you should still watch the first three seasons.
