- ZercesApril 21, 2026I'm a big fan of the genre and was really looking forward to this anime. Unfortunately, I wasn't convinced. I found the hero's inner conflict about whether or not to kill very appealing, but unfortunately, it also ruined the anime, as it squandered a lot of potential. I was expecting a lot of assassinations (assassin?). Instead, I got mostly action fights, true to the "isekai cheat skill" motto. Which I usually like, but not when it doesn't fit the setting. (Seriously, he's an assassin, not a warrior.) Maybe season 2 will be better; season 1 didn't convince me.
