With the departure of Michael Aldridge who had left to nurse his ill wife, the character of Foggy Dewhirst returned to the fold.

That's Not Captain ZeroAn aging human-cannonball, hired to entertain at the village garden party, becomes inebriated and is arrested for drunk driving. Foggy convinces Compo to pose as is "Captain Zero" and stall the crowd until the real performer becomes available.

Das (Welly) BootIvy lets Foggy fix her toaster, and it goes to his flippin' head. Now he thinks he can restore the tatty sunken boat he's found at the bottom of the lake. He actually accomplishes even this, so Compo decides he must get Nora Batty into the boat alone with him. But surely Nora knows better - she'll have to be tricked.

Roll OnFoggy enters Compo, Clegg, and himself in the local "Barrel Rolling Contest" where people crawl into empty oil drums and then are set rolling from the top of a large hill. Pearl buys Howard a gift - a tropical fish tank.
A Landlady For Smiler

A Landlady For SmilerMarina is not happy in her relationship with Howard. Smiler's dog has died. His wife has run off to Australia and his house has been sold. Foggy, Norman and Compo try to repair Howard's life and find lodging for Smiler.
