Kolya Videnin, who dreams of becoming a film director, works in an unremarkable video salon, showing viewers cult films that he has managed to memorize. One day Kolya accidentally shows the schoolchildren a film for adults. The guy is arrested and sent to the sawmill for child molestation. In the colony, the poor fellow receives the nickname Vidik and comes up with a trap plan. In order to be released on parole as soon as possible, Kolya entertains the prison warden in an unusual way: he creates original versions of famous films using available materials - a simple camera and fellow prisoners in everyday life.
