The goal of "independence" is within reach for the two Hartz 4 recipients Wolfgang and Günther in every episode: For example, when Wolfgang wants to set up his friend Günther as an "influencer", when Günther introduces child labor when screwing wooden Santa Clauses together or when the two of them try to take over the schnitzel shop of her old friend Theo. But mostly things go wrong and in the end the two can only be sure of their intimate friendship.
