A world collapses for Christine: her husband Bernd surprisingly separates from her after 15 years of marriage. Severely demoralized, she packs her things and moves to her friend Doro in Hamburg, who lives there in a shared apartment with the gay lawyer Dennis. Doro and Dennis take care of Christine touchingly and try to get her thinking differently with all kinds of actions. But above all Richard, Dennis' partner from the law firm, manages to distract Christine. While Christine tries to rearrange her life, the disruptions from father Heinz and mother Charlotte are inevitable.
