The presence at the 10th Tuscolano Police District of the only witness to a brutal murder committed on the edge of a wood is the cause of an unexpected and tragic ambush by two killers who, in an attempt to kill the witness, fatally shoot Carlo, Inspector Gori's ex-boyfriend, and wound Officer Raffaele Marchetti.
