But the past won't let him go. Investigator Ulyana Sokolova is still trying to prove that Filatov organized a lynching by cracking down on his wife's killer. The conflict between Filatov and Sokolova flares up with renewed vigor when a man becomes an unwitting witness to the death of a young student in the subway. Sokolova is sure that the girl was killed and Filatov is the main suspect. Soon, information comes from the medical examiners.
