Tracy fears that no boy will look at her now she's disabled. She'd rather be dead than stuck on a machine for the rest of her life. Alf and Betty hand over their chains as their term of office ends. Ken goes to Macclesfield and finds Denise. She is surprised when he puts no pressure on her, just wanting to make sure that she and Daniel are all right. Deirdre is relieved when Samir's final test is positive and he tells the consultant that he is happy to go ahead with the operation. Mike is upset that Tricia is telling everyone how heartless he is; throwing her into the street. Tracy is troubled when Samir tells her that he will be her donor.
