Stephanie Wells (Mariel Hemmingway) has come to Manhattan to be Editor-in-Chief of "Communique", a very trendy magazine á la "Vanity Fair", but trouble soon ensues and unfathomable intrigues begin that threaten not only her marriage to playwright Mark Merrill (Tom Verica), but also the fabric of her sanity.
