Videodrome Ratings & Reviews
- starki77May 3, 2025People don't get the film so that's why they give it a negative review 👍🏻
- Hulkfan76April 21, 2025Decent but the last 3rd of the movie was stupid.
- Matthias_812April 4, 2025Videodrome is a literal metaphor showing how technology alters our perceptions of reality. Videodrome is a visceral experience. You're not simply watching characters play out a simple plot. Videodrome is dark, disgusting, and unforgiving. If you paid attention you'll be feeling haunted after the credits start to roll. Disturbed even. I found Videodrome to be smarter than your typical 80's horror flick. Cronenberg makes the viewer think but plays on that line where it isn't too abstract and over your head. It's perfect. We fear the loss of control of our body, Cronenberg made it his specialty to instill this fear among his viewers and in Videodrome we see Max literally become an assassin for technology. The music is brooding, the tensions are high, and the uncomfortability is present. You really couldn't ask more from a horror film.
- Daniel GustavssonOctober 11, 2024I honestly can't believe how awful this movie was. The premise, all the good reviews... I was very excited to see this. One of the most disappointing movies of all time.
